Joe "The Hammer" Soto

I don't know how many of you have seen Soto fight but this kid is very talented. I think he will beat Ben Greer on Friday night and is a serious challenger to Eddie Alvarez in the lightweight division. Soto is that good.

I was at the fight, he totally mauled Greer.  He is surprisingly strong for his size.  He is going to be tough to beat.  Still undefeated, never taken past Round 1.

I second that... completely dominated Reyes.

Congratulation to Joe Soto - BFC FW Champion!!

(I'd like to see Soto take on Joe Warren from DREAM)

That's what happens when a fighter makes it to the finals via a "lucky punch", it was more than obvios than Reyes was nothing next to Soto, although I gotta say that Soto didn't impressed me either. Soto was dominating the entire fight and the guy didn't go for Reye's mount, neither tried to end the fight during the first round by sumbission, Soto had a million chances to do something else other than get tired by throwing punches. Not a great fight but I'm glad he got the title cause Reyes is weight below him.

I thought the fight didn't develop into the interesting contest I thought it would be.  Soto is the much better wrestler and nearly wore himself out striking.  He has a lot of talent, but still has a lot of room to grow.  Competition and this win will ensure a very quick evolution of his total approach to fighting.  Reyes couldn't get out a complete sentence, and was completely shut out by Soto's unopposed onslaught --an indication of Soto's raw ability.
